  1. I have sat here for 10 minutes trying to figure this out. No entiendo! LOL. I mean, I understand the words, but why is it so funny or awesome?

Is it like the mini-story by Ernest Hemingway?

"For Sale, Baby Shoes, Never Worn."

  2. Yes! It's a mini story, also called a microcuento. It might look simple and meaningless but it is said to be one of the most creative short stories ever written. This is because its shortness allows you to imagine the story they way you want to. Is it a kid waking up from a dream? someone getting back somewhere?? it doesn´t give you any other indications making it a very different type of short story. Also, it has been argued that you can easily change the coma and make the dinosaur the star of the story: "Cuando despertó el dinosaurio (,) todavía estaba ahí". Alternately, thanks to his creative use of the adverbs (3), the verbs (2), 1 substantive and one article the sentence can easily be changed into many other sentences. Like for example: "Cuando despertó, todavía estaba allí el dinosaurio", or "El dinosaurio todavía estaba allí cuando despertó". En fin, you can play around with it many times, changing it around infinitely. You can easily write one sentence, but this one is so well written that it becomes a complete story. It's the shortest story because it only has 7 words, but once the reader makes it their own, the story can be longer than any! The reader becomes the author! sorry, do I make any sense?? I might just be going around in circles!!
