Today I'm going to show you how to make a very cute and simple earring organizer using things you can find at the dollar store or probably have at home already!
This is what you need:
- 2 Wooden frames (mine are 8x10, but they can be as big as you want)
-2 Hinges
-Tulle or lace
-Glue (white glue worked for me but you can also use a glue gun)
-Colored paper or scrapbook paper
-Paint (optional)
I got my frames and hinges at the dollar store, I had the tulle spool and the rest of the stuff already.
First, decorate your frames!! This is an optional step, I thought mine were a little boring so I decided to paint them. Also, if you know you're going to paint them try to find some unfinished wooden frames. Mine were finished and I had to use a sealer so the enamel wouldn't peel off.
While your frames are drying glue some color paper or scrapbook paper to the cardboard backing that comes with the frame. I'm using some hot pink card stock paper I already had.
I put a thick coat of glue around the edges, pressed the paper against it, and trimmed the excess off when it dried.

Make sure your tulle or lace is a bit bigger than your cardboard!
My tulle wasn't wide enough to cover the whole cardboard, so I had to use three different pieces. I used a bit of glue where the pieces met to keep them together.
Once the front is completely dried, glue the extra tulle to the back.
While the glue dries, add the hinges to the sides. Make sure the frames are facing each other and screw a hinge at the top and the other one at the bottom. I had my fiance to help me with this LOL
It should look like this:
Now put the cardboard panels back on the frames (you don't need the glass!). You can always add more frames and make it longer if you need more space!
And it's done and ready to display your lovely earrings!!
I was supposed to sell my handmade goodies at a conference this Saturday which is why I looked for a cheap and cute way to display earrings. Unfortunately they canceled on me at the last minute, but I thought it was soo cute I had to share!!
Easy, cheap, and cute!

How cute! And I just know that my 13 year old daughter is going to want one as soon as I show this to her. :)
